Brylee's first hair cut

Brylee got her first haircut on Sunday. Aunt Bek was excited to rid Brylee of her shaggy style . I must admit if she is even more adorable....................

Congrats Mr. and Mrs. Brian Estep

This past weekend Bryan kept the kids and I traveled with my parents to Lebanon, TN for a wedding. A friend of mine Brian Estep married his Princess Courtney. I am also lucky enought to say they are family....ok distant family but still family. Brian's sister Abby is married to my brother Dana. So, atleast for me, we are one big happy family. The wedding was amazingly beautiful. The bride of course was beautiful and Brian all dressed up looked pretty sharp too :) I missed the kids, but it was nice to spend time with my parents and catch up with old friends. It was so funny, on Saturday night after the reception we were back at the hotel and I was sitting in the lobby talking with friends. One of them said, "I guess I can say that in front of you, I've known you for 20 years." It seems impossible for me to think of knowing someone for 20 years..............I think I am in serious denial about turning 30 this year.

Mr. and Mrs. Estep
Sorry this is a horrible pictures, but I had to post it. Trust me there is a story behind it. It is a picture of Mark Conkin singing"Back Where I Come From." He has sang it at most of our friends weddings. I was blessed to have him sing it at our reception and what he said before he sang it at Brian and Courtney's reception is so very very true, "it brings us all together", just as if we were back at Good Ol' Sullivan South!!!

We had a visit from the Easter Bunny

So I have been called a "blog slacker" lately, but our days have been so hectic and full I have not had much time to catch up on everything. But, at long last the happenings of our last few weeks.

We had a very fun Easter weekend, granted I wish the weather had been warmer but we hid and found Easter eggs all the same!

We started our weekend off on Saturday afternoon at Nanny's celebrating Easter with Bryan's family. The food, as usual, was super yummy and it was lots of fun to spend time with everyone.

Cooper had soocer practice on Saturday morning and he did not want to change. He wanted to show Uncle Chris his soccer jersey.
Poor thing, she was freezing during the "hunt"

Saturday evening we colored Easter eggs with the kids at home. We had originally planned on coloring them at Nanny's with Jordyn, but a need for a nap and two grouchy kids changed our plans. Cooper and Brylee both loved dipping the eggs and had NO patience waiting on them to dry.

Showing off the mess they made for Mommy to clean up.

Cooper and Brylee's materpieces!!!!

Sunday morning my parents invited us to visit their church. I am so glad they did. We really enjoyed the service, and the kids love the childrens church. Cooper and Brylee loved the singing and were in awe of the "sign team" as they signed a beautiful song. After church we went to Mimi and Papaw's house for lunch and games. Luckily the weather was a little warmer and we were able to spend more time outside.

This is the only "family shot" that we were able to get. Cooper and Brylee did NOT enjoy having their pictures made. Amazing how that works when they are dirty faced, snot nosed, and naked they will pose and cheese one thousand times. However, cleaned up, clean nosed, and dressed adorably I couldn't get them to utter cheese, not ONCE!!

Lauren and Ellison (my cousin Jennifer's beautiful daughters) with the kids

I'm sure since my last post many of you are wondering how soccer is going. FANTASTIC as you can see. Cooper takes his soccer ball everywhere and LOVES playing. I think Daddy being his coach has EVERYTHING to do with it.

Coop and Brylee were thrilled to get on their comfy clothes!

Lucky for Cooper, my cousin Houston (and Cooper's newest hero) knows the Easter bunny really well. He called him on his cell phone and the Easter bunny just happened to be close by so he made a quick stop and wished the kids a very Happy Easter!

I said "lucky for Cooper" not so much for Brylee. She was not a fan of the HUGE rabbit.

Cooper loved him and even squished his tail as he left. He had lots of questions for the Easter bunny and the Easter bunny was nice enough to answer ALL of his questions. I'm sure you are wondering how the Easter bunny talks....he doesn't silly. He answers like every other animal......thumbs up and thumbs down! Thanks again Houston for calling your friend Mr. Easter Bunny!!!

Conversations with Cooper

On our way home the other day Cooper and I were discussing where we lived. I told hime we lived on Bloom......... Road. This is what he said when we turned on our road:

Cooper: "Mommy this can't be Bloom........ Road because it doesn't have any blooms on it."

Conversations with Cooper

While we were outside playing today Cooper was watching a Rolly Polly crawling along the driveway.

Cooper: "Mommy, can we make him a stop sign, so he will stop when he gets to the road. I don't want him to get smushed."
